Blog Advice

With rate of advancement in technology it is difficult for an institution, especially a city institution, to keep up. New media however, is a free and easy way to keep Baruch in the game. Before implementing any forms of new media you must test it out first. I would use a pool of the schools students to test the new media and give feedback on its effectiveness and efficiency. I would also ask professor to do the same. All in all getting a consensus on whether the new media with improve the daily activities of the students, the professors, and the school in general. I would like to see adviser's using Skype. I understand there a over 10 thousand students at Baruch and long lines are expected. But aside from the school needing more advisers, Baruch can set up a group of Skype advisers or even students who are familiar with classes in specific majors. They can have individual time with students via Skype or even set times where an adviser will be giving advice for students, lets say, in the Accounting major, allowing for multiple students to part-take.
